This poster presents research conducted at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH), which aimed to establish current practice within the hospital of patients self-medicating at ward level; to identify the advantages and disadvantages of patient self-medicating within the hospital setting; and to formulate a proposal on the implementation of a protocol for patient self- medicating in the MMUH.
